A quick look at Illinois' football schedule tells me Coach Ron Zook might be job hunting in the very near future. Even if things break right this year, five or six wins is probably the best we can hope for. Check out this portion of the schedule:

I don't know about you, but those feel like losses to me. I hope I'm wrong, but it looks like another tough year in Urbana-Champaign.
Right now I am still going to figure on NIU being a win. NW believe it or not lost more offense than Illinois did last year. Michigan has looked more like Indiana the last couple years, and Illinois is riding a 3 year winning streak against them. If they win 6 games, that's a bowl game, which would probably give him a 1 year etxtension. 5 or less wins, and I'll bet Paul Petrino takes over as head coach
ReplyDeleteI hope you're right. Rich Rodriguez in year three should mean good things for Michigan. NIU looks like trouble to me as well. I would call NW in Chicago a coin toss.
